Locks
A good lock is one of the best protections for a scooter. By using a good lock you make sure that the chance of theft is much smaller. The locks come in various types. Below you will find some explanation about the different locks.
U-Lock
The underwire lock is one of the simplest locks available. The bracket is placed through the front or rear wheel and then locked. This lock only ensures that the wheels can no longer turn but are relatively less strong than a chain lock. The advantage of this lock is that it is easy to take along in the buddyseat of your scooter.
Griplock Lock
This Griplock lock is mounted on the handlebars and locks the throttle as well as the brake lever. Installing this lock takes less than 10 seconds. Because this lock is clearly visible, your vehicle will be left safely alone and you don't forget to unlock your steering wheel yourself. Because of its weight of only 330 grams and compact dimensions this Griplock lock fits easily in the glove compartment. Each lock comes with 3 adapters to ensure a perfect fit for the throttle.
Chain Lock
A chain lock is one of the largest locks available for the scooter. This lock is available in different lengths and makes it possible to attach your scooter to a pole or gate. This lock comes with 2 keys and is resistant to drilling and breaking. The chain cover is moisture resistant so the steel chain will not rust.
Disc Brake Lock
As the name suggests, this is a lock that goes through the disc brake of the moped or scooter. These locks have a safe housing and are equipped with an anti-drilling cylinder that is protected against moisture and dirt. Because this is a compact lock you can easily take it with you. When purchasing the lock it is handy to order a reminder cable. You attach this cable to the lock and to the handlebar. This way you will be reminded that the disc brake lock is attached to your disc brake.
Segment Lock
The segment lock is an easy to use lock that doesn't cost a lot. This lock has a drill-proof locking system. The cable is fitted with special steel cylinders, giving it even more protection. This lock is available in different lengths.
Handlebar Lock
The handlebar lock is attached to the underside of the saddle and fastened to the handlebar with a bracket. Because of this lock, the handlebar can' t move and it is not possible to move your moped or scooter. When not in use, the lock is hidden under the saddle of your scooter. Because the lock does not come into contact with the ground, tyres or brake discs, it will not get dirty.
