J.Costa is a Spanish manufacturer of variators for scooters and maxi scooters. Ten years ago, they created a real revolution with the introduction of a completely new variator type. The variator differs from the "traditional" in that the roles were replaced by so-called sliding pins. This system was developed by J.Costa himself and is unique. Equally spectacular are the benefits and performance that this technology offers. More power over the entire engine speed range, faster acceleration, less vibration, faster response to the gas and power curve drops are a thing of the past. The variators are tested and developed separately for each model to ensure proper operation and performance.

J.Costa variators are supplied for standard scooters, so without further adjustments. If a setting has been made on the scooter, it is possible that the variator will not work optimally with the standard bearing bolts provided. It is possible to replace them by sliding pins with a different weight so that a perfect adjustment can still be found.
