CYLINDER
- Material: special aluminum alloy with a high content of silicon and titanium, guaranteeing an exceptional tensile strength even at high temperatures.
- Heat treatment: special cooling and stabilizing treatment gives the material a high strength and toughness and to ensure that the size and mechanical specifications remain unchanged at temperatures up to 250 ° C.
- Chip-making process shall be carried out on NC machining with extremely limited tolerance size and shape (roundness, squareness).
- Inside surface layer: made by using silicon carbide in a nickel matrix with a heat treatment extreme hardness (about 600 HV0, 1 / 5) and excellent wear resistance.
- Internal machining of the cylinder: using special machines that a certain degree of finish of the cylinder wall roughness corresponds to the angles in the design (special grinding process using stone) as possible.
- Intake and exhaust diagrams: Developed and manufactured specifically for racing. The definition of the inlet and exhaust diagrams have a significant effort from our engineers, both on engine test stands and the track where the trophy is held.
PISTON
- Material: special aluminium alloy with a very high percentage of silicon and titanium that guarantees both excellent heat resistance and strain strength upon temperature variation.
- External coating: graphite coating that guarantees a very low friction coefficient
- Structure: reinforced in order to offer resistance to the stress suffered by cylinder units used for top-level competition, but at the same time light enough to reduce inertial force.
- Ring: 1 mm nodular-cast-iron single ring with rectangular cross section and hard-chromium coating on outer surface.
PISTON RINGS
- Rings in very strong modular cast iron with ground, wear-resistant, hard chrome metal-spray coating on the contact surface.
HEAD
- Material: special alluminium alloy with a very high heat exchange coefficient.
- Geometry of heat exchange surfaces recalculated and increased.
- Combustion chamber completely-designed to obtain a high compression ratio (15.8:1) with a very high turbolece.
- Machining: numerically controlled machines.
